Extension of
Tenure for 3 Additional Judges of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana
The tenure of 3
Additional Judges of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana has been extended by
one year. As per the Notification issued today, the President of India, in
exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 224 of the
Constitution of India, has appointed (i) Shri Rajiv Narain Raina, (ii) Shri
Tejinder Singh Dhindsa, and (iii) Shri Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, as Additional
Judges of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana for a period of one year with
effect from 30th September, 2013.

Appointed to the Calcutta High Court
In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of Article
224 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed (i) Shri Indrajit
Chatterjee, (ii) Shri Shib Sadhan Sadhu, (iii) Shri Sudip Ahluwalia, (iv) Shri
Tapash Mookherjee, (v) Shri Ranjit Kumar Bag, and (vi) Shri Ishan Chandra Das,
as Additional Judges of the Calcutta High Court, in that order of seniority,
for a period of two years with effect from the date they assume charge of their
respective office.
